The safety, emotional and physical wellbeing of our pupils is our utmost priority

Salcombe Prep's School policies, including those pertaining to Salcombe Pre-Prep School, our Early Years Foundation Stage, can be found below. In addition to these policies, the school has a number of other supporting policies, procedures and guidance which are available on request.

During the past 12 months no formal complaints have been registered.

Under the Data protection act Salcombe Preparatory School processes “personal data” including “sensitive personal data” (such as medical information), for the purposes of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils, parents and staff and where necessary, for the legitimate interests of the school. The school seeks to ensure that all relevant legal obligations of the school parents and pupils are complied with and that all processing of data is done lawfully and fairly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The school has a comprehensive policy covering data governance and is registered with the Information Commissioners Office.

Anti-Bullying Alliance

Cognita Schools, in partnership with the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA), is committed to eradicating bullying. ABA, housed at the National Children’s Bureau in London, coordinates anti-bullying week each November and advocates evidence-based practices. Our schools access specialist training, embrace diversity, and uphold ABA-aligned policies. We believe that children have the right to feel safe, secure and valued and that creating a safe environment and dealing with bullying is everyone’s responsibility.
