Salcombe Prep School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the job, including checks with past employers and an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Service.
The job holder is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people with whom they come into contact and/or for whom they are responsible. They must adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times.
If, in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance where a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm, either at school or at home, they must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead, the Head, or the Regional CEO. This is to ensure that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third-party services.
